What we do
Veneterra Geospatial Services collects, processes and analyzes geospatial data. The results are then presented in report ready formats.
Geospatial data are information about an object or an event that is located somewhere. This location can be on the earth, in the air or in water. Geospatial data include the location (geographic coordinates) and attributes (characteristics). For example, geospatial data about a tree include the coordinates where it is located and the species, height, trunk girth, age and so on. Geospatial data about a methane emission plume include the coordinates of the source, the concentration of methane, the direction it is moving and so on.
Veneterra collects this type of information using a variety of tools. It is then processed, and analyzed with specialized software and presented in easy to understand formats such as maps, tables, graphs and charts.

It goes without saying that where an object or event is located is very important information. In many cases, also knowing the spatial relationships, or where that object or event is in comparison to other features, provides valuable insight. For example, knowing the location of some contaminated soils is very important. Also knowing the proximity of the nearest water source makes that information even more valuable.
